About Me
Who is Andrew Zeller? Andrew R. Zeller was born in Santa Rosa, California, the only child of two remarkably kind, generous, and hard-working parents. The next 18 years of his life were spent in a small and peaceful Northern California town (close to the Pacific ocean, Redwood trees, vineyards, and farms). This became the first playground for his imagination. At age 14, he discovered his passion for making films. Since then, he has succeeded in creating at least one film every year.
Upon graduating from High School, Andrew left his hometown (and his home country), to attend the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He also traveled on his own to several countries in Asia (including: China, South Korea, and Japan) to gain knowledge, work experience, and storytelling inspiration. Andrew will be forever grateful to his friends in those countries who shared their time, homes, food, water, stories, games, sunscreen, knowledge, and hospitality. These experiences have greatly affected his view of the world and the need for cultural understanding to bring about world peace, harmony, and happiness.
On May 25th, 2011, Andrew graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Language and Culture. He also received a TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) Certificate from UBC and Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan during the summer of 2010 (including 192 hours of Teaching and Practice). He is the founder of I.F.F., a group which meets regularly to watch international films or attend film festival screenings. He has written for and served as Assistant English Editor and Treasurer for “Perspectives”, a previously bilingual Chinese-English newspaper/magazine with an intercultural focus. He has worked part-time as an English Tutor and an actor in Chinese Language Learning Videos for BCIT’s Confucius Institute. Most recently, he has written, directed, and edited commercials for rabitoTM, an phone case designed by Mina Kwag, which is rapidly gaining popularity worldwide.
Andrew currently works as a High School English Teacher in Seoul, South Korea. He continues to work on writing and filmmaking in his spare time, and is actively involved in promoting the designs of rabito co., ltd.
