About Me

Who is Andrew Zeller?  Andrew Richard Zeller was born in Santa Rosa, California, the only child of two remarkably kind, generous, and hard-working parents. The next 18 years of his life were spent in a small, peaceful, and beautiful Northern California town known as Occidental (close to the ocean and surrounded by Redwood trees, vineyards, and farms). This became the first playground for his imagination while he grew and developed more interests. At age 14, he discovered his passion for making films. Since then, he has succeeded in creating at least one film every year.

Upon graduating from Cardinal Newman High School, Andrew left his hometown (and his home country), to attend the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He also traveled on his own to several countries in Asia (including: China, South Korea, and Japan) during each summer vacation to gain knowledge, work experience, and storytelling inspiration. Andrew will be forever grateful to his friends in those countries who shared their time, homes, food, water, stories, games, sunscreen, and hospitality. These experiences have greatly affected his view of the world and the need for cultural understanding to bring about world peace, harmony, and happiness.

Currently, Andrew is working on an Asian Language & Culture (Specialization: Chinese) BA degree at UBC, and is planning to graduate in May 2011. He is the president and founder of I.F.F., a group which screens films weekly for international students. He also writes for and is Assistant English Co-Editor of “Perspectives”, the bilingual Chinese-English newspaper. Somehow, he also finds time to make movies on the side!

Why make andrewzeller.com?  For two reasons:
1. I had too many scattered random webpages: blogs, photos, etc., and I wanted to bring everything together on one website.
2. For my adoring fans, to continually keep them happy and content. Love & Peace!!
