Andrew Zeller has international work experience as an Instructor, Visual Effects Artist, Filmmaker, and Writer.
He has written, directed, and edited 10 short films and 3 feature films. From 2011 to 2014, Andrew worked in Vancouver, Canada and Seoul, South Korea to produce 17 videos for the design company: rabito Co. Ltd., to promote their products. Their rabbit-shaped phone cases became popular worldwide.
In 2015, Andrew graduated from the Lost Boys School of Visual Effects with a diploma in Advanced Compositing. He was also awarded a certificate for personal flare and leadership. Upon completion of a roto/paint practicum at Hydraulx, he was one of the first artists hired by Vitality Visual Effects. He wrote multiple sections for the company’s staff handbook explaining how to use the variety of software provided in-house.
After 2 years of compositing for Vitality, Andrew returned to education in February 2017, joining the Lost Boys School of Visual Effects staff. He is currently the Lead BG Prep Instructor and a Compositing Instructor, responsible for ensuring roto paint skills of graduates meet industry standards, while also leading some of the Compositing courses such as Marker Removal, Logo Replacement, Muzzle Fire, Screen Burn In, Object Removal, Articulate Roto, and Digital Makeup. Nuke, Mocha, Silhouette, and Neat Video are the main programs Andrew has experience teaching. He also regularly interviews VFX industry professionals and enjoys writing articles related to visual effects, education, and film.
